Expected Results of Phase II.

1.   Methodologies for integrated water resources management developed and pilot-tested.

2.   Institutional development based on key stakeholders participation and professional social mobilisation initiated.

3.   Capacity building for CMO and WUA created for pilot systems, with potential up-scaling and replication in the Fergana Valley (as a network of communication, Management Information System, training system, set of models).

4.   Establishment of pilot CMOs managing water resources along hydrological boundaries and testing at pilot hydro-systems.

5.   Reliable and trusted legal regulation including dispute resolution mechanisms recommended and effectively practiced in the pilot hydro-systems.

6.   Appropriate and effective water allocation and distribution system developed and pilot-tested by CMOs.

7.   Opportunities for improving water use efficiency and methods for water savings tested in pilot sites.

8.   Process documentation and advice to policy makers and stakeholders on the basis of project experiences provided
